Froxfield fall to convincing defeat

Froxfield v Trojans II: FROXFIELD fell to a heavy defeat on Saturday at the hands of a decent Trojans side.

Having won the toss and batted, Trojans were able to score steadily throughout their innings. Josh Haslett (4-32) was the pick of the bowlers for the home team with Jordan Hiscock (4-66) also picking up a four-for, including three wickets in the final over. Toby Barnett (1-21) also impressed with the ball but Trojans still managed to rack up an impressive 235.

Conditions seemed to change dramatically in the second innings as the bowlers took full advantage of some inconsistent bounce to skittle Froxfield for just 110.

Barnett (26), Aaron Murray (21), Hallam Brown (10) and Jack Brailey (11) were the only Froxfield players to reach double figures.

This meant a comprehensive loss by 125 runs and Froxfield will hope for a much better display this Saturday against high-flying Railway Triangle.
